Classes: 2 Open, 2 Nursery (TSDA and USBCHA sanctioned); 2 Open Ranch (TSDA sanctioned); 1 double lift (not sanctioned); 1 Open limited (not sanctioned).

There are 12 open spots for the double lift: top 5 placements of Open 1, top 5 placements of Open 2 plus the next two top scores outside of the top 5.

HOW TO GET HERE

Once you leave the main road (look for Pink and Yellow Signs!), the Trial Field is about one mile down a dirt road

PARKING and CAMPING 

The map attached shows the areas designated for camping. Please, if possible, park along the fence.

Day Parking is going to be available near the two fields.

Due to the high number of entries (THANK YOU!!), and the short winter days, we will pursue the following schedule:

Wednesday January 29 

5pm - Open Handlers' Meeting at Field 1

 

Thursday January 30 

7:30 am - Field 1: Open 1

 

Friday January 31 

7:30 am - Field 1: Open 1

7:30 am - Handlers' meeting Nursery and Open Ranch Field 2: Nursery 1, Open Ranch 1

 

Saturday February 1

7:30 am - Field 1: Open 2

7:30 am - Field 2: Nursery 2, Open Ranch 2

 

Handlers' Dinner with Awards  @7pm (Sponsored by Frio Draw Meat)

 

Sunday February 2

7:30 am - Field 1: Open 2

Double Lift Draw + Potluck @6pm

Monday February 3 

8 am - Field 1: Double Lift

 

As best practice: the Open field takes priority. We will be working to minimize the risk of schedule conflicts but please be flexible and help us out :)

FOOD and BEVERAGES

You'll find warm coffee and water to refill your mugs at the redneck tent.

For breakfast and/or lunch Maxy will prepare authentic Mexican burritos available for purchase.

If you are interested in purchasing farm raised lamb or beef from Frio Draw Meat, just find me and I can share options and price sheets.

Saturday evening we will have the Handlers' dinner with smoked brisket and shepherd's pie sponsored by Frio Draw Meat followed by awards

Sunday evening we will have a potluck right after the Double Lift draw.

RUN ORDER / VOLUNTEERS

The run order still needs to be finalized and will likely be adjusted, I've attached a copy to this email. A few days prior to the trial., I'll send out the final version.

Connect with me if you see obvious conflicts or if you believe you can help out with the volunteering gaps highlighted in red.

WATER / TRASH / PORTA POTTIES

We have plenty of dog water available near the house.

Please make sure to pack out all your trash and be kind to Jose and his family who live at the Farm House.

We have porta potties at the trial field, nursery field and near the Barn
